Meet Lauren (Cookie)

Flips Class of 2020

I have been a gymnast at Flips for over 16 years! I began in the "Folks & Flips" classes with my mom when I was two, and eventually continued on to the Hopes program when I was five.  I then made my way through the Optional team program where I was able to qualify to State, Regionals, Westerns as a level 9, and Nationals as a level 10.

Gymnastics at Flips has taught me so many life lessons both inside and outside the gym.  I have learned commitment, perseverance, hard work, how to manage my time, how to set goals, and handle pressure.

I am a 2020 Stillwater High School.  I will be attending University of California, Davis this fall and majoring in biology / pre-med.

I have so many amazing memories from Flips!  Some of my favorites are lip syncs and playing sardines at team camp, getting to travel as a team for meets, challenges and games during practice, and all the fun holiday parties that we get to have at the gym.

I love the hard work that goes into gymnastics and the feeling of accomplishment when you achieve a goal.

I will miss seeing my coaches and teammates everyday.  I am so thankful for all the amazing coaches I have had over the years at Flips and all my teammates that I have met along the way that have become lifelong friends.
